Donations

I remember when I am very young ago, we were given a small envelope by the school. These envelopes are from a donation orgnization.

After we received these envelopes, we have to go around and collect money for donations. If it is only a bit of money inside, the teacher will not allow it. The teacher want us to reach a certain amount.

Of course, we do not really go around and ask for money, as it would be very embarrassing, and others might even thought that we are cheating money.

So in the end, we have to provide the money ourselves, and then submit to the teacher. Almost every year, we are doing the same thing. The money that is being contributed to the donation organization is not really a small sum.

A few years later, something had happened that had shock me. The donation organization that we have always help them to donate, are caught cheating the donation money. They do not really use the money to help others, but instead they keep money themselves.

After that incident, we all feel very angry, and we all also feel very stupid. All these years, we are actually giving them all our money and let them enjoy their own luxurious life, instead of using the money to help the needies.

There is another incident. This incident happens at the train station. At the train station, I once seen a group of students bringing the donation can and walk around, trying to ask for passer-bys to donate money.

After going for shopping around there, I feel like I wanted to go to the toilet, so I go into the toilet in the shopping mall.

After I entered the toilet, I see another shocking thing(apart from the dirty toilet). I see the same group of students who are at the train station just now asking around for donations. What they are doing in the toilet really shock me.

They are actually trying to dig out all the moneys out of the cans. They are using a stick to poke through the hole, and trying to shake the money outof the hole. After seeing that, I feel very angry.

From that time onwards, I never trust donations again. The reason is because all the money did not really go to help the needies at all.
